VERY CUTE MOVIE
We saw DEFINITELY, MAYBE this afternoon and it is a very cute movie. Abigail Breslin who plays the daughter was very good and just as adorable as she was in LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. The movie was pretty predictable in a most places, but a cute date movie and good old fashioned entertainment.

DEMOCRACY IN ACTION
In all my years of voting (a lot and I don't want to do the math right now), I have never experienced a caucus until today. I had always gone to a polling place with my little ballot in California and since being in Washington, we have marked our ballot, put a stamp on the envelope and mailed it in. Our county has eliminated the polling place and everyone must vote by investing in a stamp.
Today was different. The only way our vote would count would be to go to the caucus. We watched the YouTube video so we had an idea of what to expect and we got in line with hundreds of our neighbors at 1 pm at the local junior high school. Parking was a challenge as was seating in the gymnasium. The "leader" had a bullhorn and read the scripted rules to us and then each precinct was separated. Our precinct went into a classroom as we were one of the larger groups. People were allowed to stand and speak for their candidate and everyone was very passionate and articulate. It was interesting that only women spoke for Hillary, with the exception of one gay guy.
Our precinct ended up with 5 delegates for Obama and 3 delegates for Clinton. The process of hearing other opinions and seeing the enthusiasm for the process by our neighbors gives me more interest in the election than I might have otherwise. Bottom line is to unify and elect a democrat in November.

FOUR THUMBS UP
We saw the movie 'Juno' today and loved it, both giving it two thumbs up. It was so well done, yet not big budget. No actual sex, no swearing. Real life portrayals. Loved it.
